2019 ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Silverado Golf Resort is located in the heart of California wine country in the Napa Valley. The North Course has undergone recent facelifts by former PGA Tour player Johnny Miller. Love him or hate him, he did a fantastic job of shaping their flagship course, the North course. The course features a classic-style layout that winds through mature oak trees and features undulating fairways, challenging raised greens, and deep carefully placed bunkers. The front nine plays slightly tighter off of the tee, with more trees in play and a premium on placement and angles. The transition to the back nine is as smooth as a good Pinot Noir, which appears more approachable off of the tee but requires careful consideration to avoid the deep strategically placed fairway bunkers that have a knack of drawing your attention.
Re-designed by renowned architect Forrest Richardson, the City of Palo Alto welcomes you to Baylands Golf Links. Formerly the Palo Alto Municipal Golf Course, Richardson led the reconfiguration of the original William F. Bell design, which opened in 1956. Proudly managed by OB Sports, Baylands Golf Links opened to the public May 26, 2018.
The re-designed golf course will feature 55 acres of native Baylands vegetation and wetlands areas, a 40% reduction of managed turf areas, a 35% reduction of potable water use, an additional 10.5 acres added to the Baylands Athletic Center for future recreational use, and 7.4 acres of land converted into in-stream marshland terrace habitat within an expanded San Francisquito Creek for increased flood protection.
Baylands starts off very gently and is not terribly exciting. Yet it gets more and more interesting as the round progresses. The links styling starts to shine and the holes get increasingly enjoyable with more hazards, bunkers and undulations in play. The greens are big and very undulated, and they definitely provide the biggest component of challenge on this course. The course has a lot of tricky greens. Tee shots are generally quite forgiving and wide open with one consistent fairway cut of grass throughout the course. There is no primary cut of rough and many holes are interconnected in a links fashion, so you can often spray your ball quite wide and be in fine shape. There are some native outer areas that you want to avoid. There are long grasses and lumpy, dirty mounds that will generally not provide forgiving lies (if you find your ball at all).
Catta Verdera Country Club is nestled among the rolling hills and woodlands of Lincoln, California and offers one of the finest tests of golf. To retain the area’s natural beauty, the course has been “coaxed” from a stunning 335 acre valley, complete with gentle streams, natural oaks, buckeyes, Ponderosa pines and granite outcroppings. By enhancing the natural lay of the land, Catta Verdera is as visually captivating as it is challenging.
Designed by Richard Phelps, Catta Verdera boasts not only spectacular natural beauty, but also provides the golfer with tremendous challenge. A poor shot is penalized while a well-executed shot is rewarded, and a well played round will be memorable indeed. To enjoy Catta Verdera, the golfer can relax and feel comfortable in the peaceful surroundings or indulge in the challenge of championship golf. Catta Verdera is the best of both worlds and offers a one-of-a-kind golfing experience!

Old Greenwood Golf Club: Five minutes from Truckee lies Old Greenwood, the only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. Situated on 600 acres of forest and meadowland surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the course is among uncommonly beautiful surroundings. More than most courses, Old Greenwood is influenced by the land upon which it sits. The course’s closeness to nature is evident in many places, especially where the rolling land, thick forests and water features collide. While the combination is breathtaking, it also presents a challenge. Though difficult, the course is eminently playable, like most Nicklaus designs. While Old Greenwood feels secluded and miles from anywhere, it is less than a 30-minute drive from North Lake Tahoe or Reno Nevada.
The Golf Club at Gray’s Crossing: Is a Peter Jacobsen/Jim Hardy designed championship golf course nestled in Truckee, California. At Gray’s Crossing, golfers will experience “a return to tradition,” as the course meets golf enthusiasts’ demands to play a course with a traditional, private club feel. Fast greens and tournament-like conditions await golfers every day. Demanding a combination of creative club choices and tactical strategies, the Jacobsen design reveals his passion for fun, yet challenging play. Towering Lodgepole and Jeffrey Pines line the fairways as the course weaves through a natural mountain surrounding with Mt. Rose as its backdrop. When calculating each shot, the environment plays as much a role as the course.

Corica Park South Golf Course
|Located in the beautiful island City of Alameda, California, less than five minutes from the Oakland Airport. It’s time to discover one of America's new best public access courses, the all new South Course (opened June 22, 2018), unlike any in the Bay Area. Renowned Architect Rees Jones describes the new course as a minimalist design more like you would find in Australia, where you can play the ball to the hole by air or ground. There’s a nice mix of holes — some long and some short, some wide and some narrow, some daunting and some vulnerable. The South Course includes far fewer trees than the North Course, which means wind off the bay is a significant factor. Jones insisted Corica Park will be playable even during rainy winters, given elevated fairways and improved drainage.|

Redhawk Golf Course: ffers 5 sets of tees but the Par-71 layout is 6,564 yards from the tournament tees. Nestled against the high desert hillside, dramatic elevation changes on the opening nine holes produce unparalleled scenic views of the valley. At times wildlife is abundant as the course and nature embrace. The finishing nine offer a unique contrast to the front. Sierra Mountain views to the south, lakes, and longer holes wind you through the Silver Oak master planned community. Silver Oak Golf Course has consistently been voted Carson City's best since 2006.

Somersett Golf and Country Club: At 7,252 yards from the Sierra tees, the par 72 Championship course is naturally blended into the high desert landscape offering panoramic views of the surrounding alpine vistas. With five sets of tee markers, seven lakes, 62 white sand bunkers and 400 foot wide landing areas off the tee, the course offers players of varying ability levels the opportunity to challenge or be challenged.
The Pacific Links, as the Ocean Course was originally known, also opened in May 1924. The 18-hole course featured eight holes west of Skyline Blvd. However, winter storms caused mudslides which led to necessary redesigns of both courses and some of the original Lake Course holes became part of the Ocean Course. Only two holes (the 3rd and 4th) remained west of Skyline. The course reopened in 1927 with a length of 6,053 yards, or about 400 yards shorter than the Lake Course at the time.
The Ocean Course has been redesigned and rerouted several times since 1927, including a total reconstruction under Tom Weiskopf in 2000. A further renovation took place in 2012, after the U.S. Open, under the guidance of Bill Love and the Green Committee.
The Ocean Course is now a customizable experience that balances the needs of players at all skill levels with providing a challenging and rewarding round of golf. The Ocean Course has hosted several local, state, regional, and national championships, including the 2004 U.S. Junior Amateur, the 2007 U.S. Amateur, and the 2015 inaugural U.S. Four-Ball Championships.
